"Brian Shafer, MD, is a board-certified, fellowship-trained ophthalmologist and founder of Shafer Vision Institute in Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania. He also serves as Adjunct Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Pennsylvania and Clinical Assistant Professor and Head of Cornea at Temple University Hospital. His clinical focus includes cataract surgery (complex cases, premium lenses, revisions), glaucoma management and surgery, corneal procedures, and refractive options (LASIK, PRK, RLE, ICL). Brian has published in peer-reviewed literature, participates in clinical trials, and stays current with eye care advancements.
