"Mahmoud A. Khaimi, MD, is an ophthalmologist and founder/president of Glaucoma Surgeons of Oklahoma in Edmond, Oklahoma (with affiliations including Summit Medical Center and others in the area). His clinical focus includes glaucoma treatment and surgery—particularly canaloplasty and minimally invasive approaches—as well as premium cataract surgery. Mahmoud performed the world's first ab interno canaloplasty procedure in 2013 and has been instrumental in developing devices like Nova Eye's iTrack™ Advance, earning him 405 Magazine's Healthcare Innovator of the Year in 2023. He previously held the James P. Luton, MD Endowed Chair in Ophthalmology, served as Glaucoma Fellowship Director and Director of Glaucoma Services at the Dean McGee Eye Institute/University of Oklahoma from 2007 to 2024, before transitioning to private practice in 2024.
