"Mark Gallardo, MD, is a fellowship-trained ophthalmologist in private practice at El Paso Eye Surgeons in El Paso, Texas. His clinical focus includes glaucoma surgery—particularly minimally invasive glaucoma treatments—and cataract procedures, where his practice has been designated a Center of Excellence for MIGS (one of only two in the USA). Mark holds faculty appointments at The University of Texas Health Sciences Center in San Antonio, Texas Tech University School of Medicine in Lubbock, and the Paul L. Foster Texas Tech School of Medicine in El Paso. He serves as President of the Texas Ophthalmology Association and is widely published in peer-reviewed literature while acting as principal investigator for multiple ongoing clinical trials in cataract and glaucoma surgery.
